I have vacation from today till the 15th, which means I finally have some free time for computer games and stuff… This afternoon I finally got around to playing some Crysis. After getting used to the controls, I really enjoyed the game! Still have the last chapter left…. I’ll leave that for some other time.

I went to see Avril Lavigne live in concert yesterday (June 18, 2008) in the Philipshalle, Düsseldorf. I didn’t have very high expectations after her last album came out, somehow the bad-ass, naughty, tom-boy, skater-girl “Queen of Punk” had been replaced by a pussy-pink-power-pop-princess….
Although she only played for an hour, I was pleasantly surprised and have to admit I went out knowing I had gotten my money’s worth. The dance-team backup was interesting, even impressive at times, but the part I enjoyed the most was the middle where the “old” Avril re-surfaced. Songs from previous albums, the slightly in-your-face attitude, running around stage and proving she can still play guitar and drums…. All-in-all a highly enjoyable evening!
